Utah RV and Outdoors Show and Scheel's

I have a secret. I watch Youtube videos of full-time RV-ing families, and have done so for a few years now. Here are a few of my favorites if you are interested:

Keep Your Daydream: They have older kids and post very regularly. I like their humor when things go wrong and that they share their plans and pros and cons of places they visit.

Knorpp and South: This is a Mormon family of 11 that lived in an RV full-time 3 years ago for a year. (The link is a video from this time.) Then they spent a year traveling around Europe. Now they RV/travel somewhat less, but still vlog about their life. I like their openness about their faith and why they do what they do, but their lack of planning- changing plans on the fly- stresses me out a bit because it is so different from me.

Less Junk < More Journey: These guys are my favorite. They probably have the best production/ music that I have seen, but what keeps me coming back to their videos is how real they are. They do a great job discussing destinations, tech, different types of RVs, and just living intentionally... which is what we are trying to do as well. And their Tennessee accents are totally adorable.

Anyway, we are not in the market for an RV at this point, but we have been wanting to check them out in person, so we decided to go to the Utah RV and Outdoors show last weekend.

We like the smaller travel trailers, but would need one that can sleep 6, which limits the options somewhat.

Some of us think heated massage recliners are the epitome of luxury.

Pretty fabulous kitchens in some of these!

And this triple bunk! With outside access- the bottom two bunks fold up so you can toss your bikes, chairs, etc right inside here for traveling.

We actually loved what we saw! The ways these companies have come up with to give you more space, storage, and comfort are amazing.  Someday, it will be time to shop for our own.  But for now it was a lot of fun to daydream and see what we like and what we don't like.

After lunch out, we stopped in Scheel's which is a big outdoors store similar to a Cabela's. We were pricing some camping, ski, and snowshoe gear.

We didn't end up buying anything at all, but the photo ops and play areas were very entertaining.  It was a unique day out and gave us lots of food for thought for our upcoming adventures.
